The Sudbury Muslim Society is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving the Muslim community in Sudbury. Initiated in 2013, we focus on educating the Muslim youth in Sudbury and strengthening their faith in Islam.

Alhamdullilah, the Sudbury Muslim Society has been serving the Muslim community in Sudbury for many years and with much success. We have opened a school for the community, where more than 60 students learn the Arabic language, develop their understanding of Islam and the Quran and create lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Every Saturday, students would attend the school where their would be a strong emphasis on mastering the Arabic language and increasing comprehension of Islam and the Quran. The students were taught in a focused environment where the classroom sizes rarely exceeded eight students, hence providing each student with all the support and guidance that they need.

Our school also puts a strong focus on helping the students create friendships among each other, as we felt it was important for them to have good relations with their Muslim peers. We provided them with an after school soccer and crafts program, where they would socialize and play together. We also took the students on several field trips ranging from ARC Centre, to Plaza Bowl, to the KUPP Centre and we planned several movie and pizza days. The Eid party featured many games and activities, including bouncy castles and mini-competitions.

We have much hope for a greater future Inshallah. We hope to continue serving the Muslim community. It is our dream to continue providing education for the Muslim youth , and Inshallah, one day, provide a full-time school.
